Dad retired from Stony Mountain Penitentiary after 30 years of service in 1994. He enjoyed his grandchildren and coaching the Stony Mountain Hustlers baseball team for ten years, gardening, cooking, baking, his pool table, riding lawnmower and his recliner in front of the TV watching sports channels. He will be deeply missed for his beautiful sense of humor, apple pies and annual Christmas goodies.
With the utmost gratitude the family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Kildonan Medical Centre for their outstanding care and compassion. Mom would also like to thank the helpful staff at Stonewall Pharmacy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main Street, Stonewall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Rm 1160 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
God saw you getting tired when a cure could not be. So he wrapped his arms around you
and so he whispered “Come with me”.
