June 6, 1980. Since Neil's death on February 13th, 2010, Annette continues to operate the Company with her eldest son Eirik, in keeping with the same style and family traditions that has proven to be the foundation for success. |

She's an administrative assistant with 27 years of experience, primairly in the transportation industry. In 2003, she found it necessary to make a career change and embarked on a position offered by a funeral home in Winnipeg. From there, she felt confident she had the skills that were necessary to assist and communicate with bereaved families. When you call us, Shirley is the first person you will talk to. She can identify with many life experiences and has proven to be sensitive and caring with just the right amount of comfort. Shirley is a natural. |

For the previous 30 years, I worked along side my husband in our Electrical Contracting business in Alberta, British Columbia and Manitoba. We have two daughters attending University; one in Winnipeg and the other in Alberta. I am thoroughly enjoying working in the funeral business. |

Upon graduating from Garden City Collegiate, she spent a time at the University of Manitoba and Success Compu College. She is married and has two children and resides in Winnipeg. Prior to working at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre; Franca was an office manager for an audio visual company for over 10 years and has over 15 years experience in office administration. Franca started with the company in May, 2010, and works closely with the Funeral Directors in the Funeral Office to co-ordinate all the necessary paperwork required by families. She also works directly with families to create their unique funeral bulletins and memorial cards. |
| Joe Kanaski, Cremationist Email: joe@nbardal.mb.ca Office Phone: 204-949-2204 Fax: 204-694-9494 Joe was born in 1962 and raised in Beausejour, Manitoba and had spent almost 20 years working for the Town of Beausejour. Realizing it was time for a career change, Joe always had an interest in the funeral industry. He had a chance to work as a cremationist in 2005, and in March, 2008 was hired by us as a cremationist and has proven to be a perfect fit. If you ask him, Joe will tell you that he loves his job, is grateful to the Bardal family for giving him the opportunity to work in their state of the art cremation and funeral facility on Notre Dame Avenue, and is hoping to provide many years of dedicated and professional service. |
| Mona Johnson, Funeral Celebrant Email: info@nbardal.mb.ca Office Phone: 204-642-7124 (Gimli) Fax: 204-694-9494 Mona Johnson has been a Funeral Celebrant for 5 years and a Marriage Commissioner for 2 years. Gimli is home to Mona and her husband Gordon and their two children , Brandon and Stephanie and her granddaughter Benna. Neil offered Mona her “Dream Job” in July 2009 and shares her experience to help families as they journey through one of life's most difficult times. She also works with Eirik in Gimli to help families preplan their funeral arrangements. Mona's also a Lay Pastoral Assistant at the Gimli Lutheran Church and has a certificate in the Palliative Care Course. |
| Neil Avery, Funeral Assistant Neil retired in 2010 from the City of Winnipeg after 33 years of service, with the last 14 years as the Senior Foreman overseeing the maintenance and operations of the three municipal cemeteries. He began as Funeral Assistant in Feburary, 2011 He has a great interest in sports, both as a spectator and a participant. He enjoys meeting and talking to people and finds it to be a very rewarding aspect in his life. Neil is married to wife Josie and they have two children, Kristin and Paul. |
| Grant Kolodie, Funeral Assistant Grant retired from Manitoba Hydro after 34 years. Having known the Bardal family for a number of years, he was happy to be asked to assist on services in the fall of 2009. Grant has two children and three beautiful grandchildren. Traveling and reading are his hobbies. He's also a member of Keystone Masonic Lodge #185 in Winnipeg. |
| Allen Sansom, Funeral Assistant I have lived in Winnipeg my entire life. In 2009 I retired from the Aviation Industry after 40 years of service. I started as a part time employee at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre in the fall of 2009. This opportunity has provided me the opportunity to work with a great team. |
